What would you do if a family member collapses suddenly in front of you? Most people do not realise that even a child can save the life of the victim of a cardiac arrest using a set of basic life support [BLS] skills. BLS skills can double or even triple the victim’s chance of survival if performed immediately and correctly. You do not need a medical degree or any other qualification to learn these.
To train the general public in these life-saving skills, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics has organised a mass awareness workshop on 2nd January 2018 at the Suresh Bhat Auditorium at Resham Bagh, Nagpur. Eight 1-hour sessions will be conducted between 9am and 5pm. Each session will be led by certified instructors and will use simulators to provide realistic and hands-on training to participants.
